As I walked into the gym, blaring “Love Again” by Dua Lipa from my headphones, I stood a little taller, walked with a little more swagger, had a little sparkle in my eye, and a spring in my step.
goddamn, you got me in love again
You got me in love again
You got me in love again
You got me in love again
Again
Do you know this feeling?
Things I’ve fallen in love with again:
the gym (I’ve been going through the motions, but recently have become absolutely obsessed with kettlebells on the turf of my local Y)
running (it’s actually run-walks, but I am so smitten with those endorphins!)
writing (my passion for expression in the written word is reignited and what once felt hard now feels flowy…and that’s on repetition)
dating (I have to take time off and come back to it when I’m stoked, this is me stoked again!)
meditating in the palm tree garden (I knew I loved it, but going on the daily has me craving it rather than thinking of it as something that I “should” do)
a career in corporate America (who me?! that’s on inner work. color me obsessed!)
Because sometimes it gets stale. Sometimes it’s boring. Sometimes the thing no longer serves you. And then one day you can wake up and muse to yourself: I’d like to try that again! And then find out that it genuinely lights you up, like WHAT?!?!
Life is so cool.
This is a reminder that you don’t always have to be creating new habits. You can just try on some old favorites. Kind of like shopping in your own closet, but it’s habits instead of garments.
Your habits should be making you hotter, richer, smarter, and healthier. And if they’re not, it’s either time for new habits or time to fall in love again with your existing ones.
This is how you return to your enthusiasm for better habits without having to adopt brand new ones.
Here are 3 questions you can ask yourself:
What has worked in the past? What once LIT MY HEART ON FIRE and made me so excited to get out of bed.
What would the today-me version of that look like?
Based on this list: what do I want to “try on” again, and how long do I want to try it for?
Because navigating to our enthusiasm is how we manifest, how we attract, and how we call in the life of our dreams.
You know I love a 21-day experiment, but permission for this one to make it a week.
And if you need accountability, tap me in because I’d love to be in your corner. Comment below or consider signing up for one of my Daily Dose sessions, options available for one week, two weeks, or all three.
And I believe that our enthusiasm is our cheat code for attracting the life of our wildest dreams! This newsletter is a passion project for sharing my own experiments with tuning into and navigating to my enthusiasm through habits, rituals, and my frequency so I can move from chasing opportunity to attracting it. If it lights you up, there’s more where this came from.
How to work with me:
I am onto something here with tuning into your enthusiasm, and I’m going to shout it from the rooftops! Here are some options for taking this concept off the page and into your life in the easiest way possible!
